MATRIXX Software strikes global reseller agreement with Sicap

Agreement offers unique real-time charging capabilities for Sicap mobile operator customers

Mountain View, CA, February 22nd, 2013MATRIXX Software today announces a global reseller agreement with Sicap, a provider of software solutions to mobile operators, headquartered in Switzerland.

Sicap will offer the MATRIXX Charging Engine, a real-time Online Charging System (OCS), to its global customer base with a specific focus on updating systems to meet the challenges of massive smartphone penetration and the surge in prepaid mobile data usage. The MATRIXX Charging Engine provides new, patented technology specifically designed to help operators handle emerging challenges such as session growth, chatty applications, concurrent sessions, and pricing complexity. Sicap customers will leverage MATRIXX Software’s innovative technology to offer new pricing strategies and business models such as shared data bundles and tiered pricing.

Sicap undertook a rigorous evaluation of OCS software developers and chose MATRIXX Software because the MATRIXX Charging Engine delivers more than 100 times higher performance and dramatic cost efficiencies over other systems. It also provides an open, configurable platform for quickly launching new offers and promotions. The agreement is strategic for Sicap because now its customers have access to a future proof solution that provides the performance, flexibility, efficiency and configurability required by today’s mobile broadband services.

“We are impressed by the huge performance advantage that the MATRIXX Charging Engine offers our customers,” said Thomas Vontz, Chief Operating Officer at Sicap. “The mobile operators we work with expect us to keep them ahead of the market and their competition, and our partnership with MATRIXX Software does that.”

The patented Parallel-MATRIXXTM Technology that underlies the Charging Engine effectively reinvents real-time for the mobile data services age. Key innovations in online transaction processing (OLTP) and in-memory database technology make it the most performant, cost-effective and flexible real-time charging solution that meets the challenges of exploding mobile data and signaling traffic.
